Jerri J. Pirc, Author

Jerri is a native Texan who moved to Colorado and was then transplanted along with her husband Doug into New Zealand. After living in New Zealand for 26 years, Jerri and her two boys (husband Doug and dog Cruze) moved to Portugal.  She is a dog lover and a retired Speech and Language Therapist who has always had a head full of children. She loves the fun of sound and word play and interacting with children through books. At present Jerri is looking for new ways to volunteer in the community.  In addition, trying to learn Portuguese is a daily activity that keeps her busy. Her more fluent sentence thus far is “May I give your dog a pat?”  As there are many dog walkers in Portugal, Jerri has plenty of time to practice her most fluent sentence.

Sheri Palmer - Illustrator

Hello, I'm Sheri Palmer, I'm an illustrator originally from Ireland. I now live in the glorious Portuguese countryside with seven hairy barbarians - four dogs, two cats and one husband. 

I work freelance creating illustrations for picture books, board games, websites and social media. When I'm not working I love reading Sci-Fi and fantasy books, sketching, walking my dogs and pet sitting (that's right six of my own aren’t enough, when I travel I like to look after other people’s fluffy maniacs too). I have an irrational fear of mushrooms and a deep love for coffee.

Jane Smith - Illustrator and Designer

Jane lives in Mapua where she works with her husband Neil in their design, illustration and photography company, Chocolate Dog Studio. The company is named in honour of their chocolate lab, Monty who was intelligent, cunning and VERY naughty! They have a golden retriever called Napoleon and a cat called Souffllée. Jane loves working on children's books and especially enjoys partnering with Jerri as her books are full of animals.
